Charmed ONLY

I pre-ordered Charmed - The Complete First Season yesterday. Or rather my mum pre-ordered it; she's paying. And now Amazon emailed informing us that it has already been shipped!!! Waow less than 24h after pre-order, the thing actually is on a ship heading for me. I'll receive the 6 DVDs probably in 2-3 weeks! Oh man, 972min! I can't wait.

This is maybe old news but it's still interesting. Here is the back-of-the-box description of the show: Protecting the innocent, vanquishing evil and evil doers, and generally righting wrongs are not exactly on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about. But for the Halliwell sisters, this has become their destiny. Prue, the oldest, is driven to succeed and dislikes the free-spirited antics of the youngest sister Phoebe. Piper, the earthy middle sister, mediates between her siblings. Phoebe discovers The Book of Shadows in the attic and their witchly powers are activated, igniting a bond that reaches beyond petty, sisterly grudges. Prue has the power to move objects, Piper to freeze time and Phoebe to see the future. The sisters must band together to protect themselves, and the world, from the dark, demonic forces that seek to destroy them. It's an existence fraught with excitement and danger, but these three unique sisters wouldn't trade their "charmed" lives for anything!

A great collage, YOU can do with Picasa2 Posted by Hello

Picasa2 is greater

Greater, friendlier and better than the first version of Picasa. You can edit your pics and write beautiful little captions as well. And it's completely FREE. 3.1Mb. Should should try it. P.S. Google just launched a new service, Google Video. You can actually search for videos now. And they can come from amateurs who have uploaded their video or professional Charmed episodes!

A great drawing by my mum and brother, Salman. Posted by Hello

Hello from Picasa

I can't believe, I never found this. And yet I had the software all along. Google's IM program for the moment is none other than Hello from the photo organizing software, Picasa. So go download it now itself.

Blogs... really!

The blogger v journalist examination has been and will remain an interesting debate and a way to look at the broader impact of the personal publishing revolution. I do, however, think that some recent events such as Rathergate have swung the debate in a certain direction. Let's, for a second, look at publishing like we would look at any other industry in the internet age. When people interact with your content, that's a good thing. Does Amazon get upset when you review a product on their site? No, because they get it. Think any music or television marketers would feel threatened by thousands of viewers and listeners suddenly become marketers of their brands and content? This is the interactive age. You want people to interact. That's the point. What if publishers saw blogging not as a threat, but as the very key to their ability to thrive in the age of the internet? - Dave of The Blog Blog

It's unbelievable how many spams I receive per day. About 7! But thanks to GMail, they all go to the Spam folder instantly. I never got a spam message in my inbox. So if you want a GMail invitation, email me.

You want invitations to Orkut, GMail, FreeWebHosting123 or Wallop invites? Then check this Google group named GOWF. Members there will give you invitations for free.

Rock music

I thought I'd never touch - rather listen - rock music but here you are. I like Avril Lavigne's songs. But I don't plan to go and listen to other rock music.

And yes. I've been chatting on MSN Messenger a lot lately. Partly because I finally decided to create a proper MSN .Net password. By the way, speaking of IM, you know that Google'll probably launch its own Messneger too. Can't wait. And also Charmed season 1 on DVD is going to be released shortly (1 Feb)
